El robo
El robo Poster

Runtime: 8 minutes

Release Date: Oct 2004

Synopsis:
Two men with vastly different occupations meet: One is a museum guard, the other a robber. Between them is a rare Picasso painting.

Director’s Note:
Notable for being the first film I was proud of, El robo was the movie that started it all. It should be noted that while the ill fated and often ignored El robo: Vol 2 is clearly a direct homage to Kill Bill, El robo is not. I hadn’t even seen Kill Bill before making this film! The main source of influence for El robo came from the flamboyant Rodriguez film, Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
